Charles Borgognoni, Partner

charles borgognoni
Charlie’s experience in the private and public sectors is deep and diverse. As a senior strategic communications professional, he directs effective initiatives in image and reputation, crisis, government affairs, media, internal communications, organizational change and advocacy.

At Rabin Partners Charlie recently helped develop and pass legislation that protected a patient’s right to receive medical information in New Hampshire. This work became a model for successful legislation in several other states. He guided Johnson & Johnson in the creation and implementation of global human resources policies; and directed a stakeholder strategy that defeated legislation threatening a client’s business in California.

Before joining Rabin Partners in 2004 Charlie led Corporate Communications at Becton, Dickinson and Company. He served 17 years at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company where he led the Corporate Affairs function; and directed domestic and international public affairs and led communications at the business unit level. Charlie was Legislative Associate to the Chairman of the New York State Assembly Standing Committee on Government Operations. He is a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and has done post-graduate work at the London Business School, Boston College and New York University.
