Black Americans represent the largest population impacted by HIV/AIDS in the United States, making up 51% of cases, but they remain the group least in care. Health disparities and limited access to critical health services pose significant challenges to bettering HIV treatment outcomes and bridging the gap to care in Black communities.

We provide technical, strategic and communications support to the Black Treatment Advocates Network (BTAN), a unique collaboration that aims to link Black Americans with HIV into care and treatment, strengthen leadership and advocate for policy change and research priorities. We support BTAN’s local and national recruitment efforts, provide on the ground programmatic support in several high-prevalence markets and conduct sustained issues and media monitoring to keep BTAN informed of emerging challenges in the treatment environment. Working with BTAN we hope to start a new era in Black HIV/AIDS advocacy.
